The Providence/The Seven Doors Of The Providence/2009 CD Review

The Providence are a project from Italy that mixes together dark ambient, horror music, gothic and metal together and this is a review of their 2009 album "The Seven Doors Of The Providence".

Keyboards and synths are a mixture between horror music/ambient and industrial with alot of samples being utilized from classic horror films that came out in the 70's and 80's, and there are some drum machines being used on occasion throughout the album.

Rhythm guitars are very distorted sounding death rock riffs that also have a lot of influences from the more dark sounding metal bands, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding guitar solos.

Vocals are mostly industrial clean singing vocals when they are used with a small amount of growls, while the song lyrics are based on horror films with a small amount of occultism, as for the production it has a very dark sound that makes all of the instruments sound dark.

In my opinion The Providence are a good band for their style and if you are into bands that mix ambient, industrial, gothic, metal and horror music you should check this band out. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Tall Man" "Slasher" AND "We Eat You At Midnight".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
