The Black Dahila Murder/Nightbringers/Metal Blade Records/2017 FUll Length Review

The  Black  Dahila  Murder  are  a  band  from  Detroit,  Michigan  that  plays  a  very  melodic  form  of  death  metal  with  some  touches  of  hardcore  and  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2017  album  "Nightbringers"  which  will  be  released  in  October  by  Metal  Blade  Records.

Atmospheric  sounding  synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  heavy  and  melodic  riffing  a  few  seconds  later  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  bring  in  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  along  with  the  vocals  being  a  mixture  of  high  pitched  screams,  death  metal  growls  and  some  aggressive  hardcore  shouts.

Throughout  the  recording  you  can  hear  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos and  leads  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments sounding  very  powerful  and  as  the  album  progresses  back  up  gang  shouts  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  one  track  also  brings  in  a  brief  use  of  classical  guitars

The  Black  Dahila  Murder  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  hardcore  influenced  style  of  melodic  death  metal  from  previous  releases,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  violence,  horror  stories,  occultism  and  H.P  Lovecraft  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  The  Black  Dahila  Murder  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  band,  you  should  enjoy  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Widowmaker"  "Nightbringers"  "Catacomb  Hecatomb"  and  "The  Lonely  Deceased".  8  out  of  10.
