Sadistik Forest are a band from Finland that plays an old school form of death metal with some elements of black and doom metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Morbid Majesties" which will be released in May by Transcending Obscurity Records.
A very dark, brutal and heavy sound starts off the album along with the faster sections of the songs also bringing in a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mostly death metal growls as well as the solos and leads being done in a very chaotic fashion and the music has a lot of roots in the 90's.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them along with the riffs also bringing in a great amount of dark sounding melodies while black metal screams are also added into certain sections of the recording as well as the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, the slower sections of the music are very heavily influenced by doom metal, the music always remains very heavy and they close the album with a track that is very long and epic in length.
Sadistik Forest plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in old school death metal while the black and doom metal elements makes the music stand out a lot more, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover blasphemy, anti religion, death and destruction themes.
In my opinion Sadistik Forest are a very great sounding old school death metal band with some touches of black and doom metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Decades Of Torment Then Death" "Zero Progress" and "Bones Of A Giant". 8 out of 10.
